Same size bag, same outrageous price, and now down to 10 oz.

If they aren't on sale at half price, they won't see a dime of my money. Sure, they can charge whatever they want, and this country of suckers that NEVER reads labels won't even notice, but there comes a point were the line in the sand is not worth crossing. It's a shame, too. Doritos are great chips but I'm tired of the sleazy methods of milking every penny out of customers.

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

Location: New York, New York

So True. I am done with Doritos.

They aren't THAT good, that I will pay over 4 bucks for a 9.5 oz. bag of chips. When I was a kid, the Dorito bag was 16 oz., then it went to 14.5 and kept shrinking until now they have crossed the point of no return for me.

Sorry Frito Lay. I'll stick with my Meijer brand kettle chips which are phenominal by the way and half the price.

Aldi's makes a knockoff variety that's pretty good and way cheaper. Of course everyone including aldi's are raising prices because inflation is out of control.

Old enough to remember the late 70s when Carter was president and interest rates were sky high to try to bring down inflation.

No electronic money back then. They will just keep "printing" money till a party size bag of doritos is $20 and by then we will be moving to Zimbabwe cause inflation will be lower.

Truth!!! I have written & complained numerous times, called them out on FB as well. I will not pay 4.49 or 3.78 for 13 oz bags of chips

13 oz? Ha! Try $3.99 for 7 oz now thanks to Biden.

I can't believe that Lays calls it the "PARTY SIZE" ! I wouldn't want to go to that party!!!!!

The ever shrinking bag of chips!! They should call the "pa--- size" since it clearly doesn't qualify for the rest of the letters!!!!!

Don't mess with my Lay's chips. Angry and hungry past customer?

Guest

Frito scoops party size cut from 18oz to 15oz, lays will do away with family size and will soon be only offering party size and regular size lays, regular size lays chips will go from 3.49 to 3.79, smartfood white cheddar popcorn has been cut from 8.5oz to 6.75oz same proce, 12 count sacs are being cut to 10, same price. All happening very soon and all major shrinkage with no changes in price, even increasing in some.

Just an announcement from someone who knows a little from the inside.

Corporate America strikes again, think any employees see any of that?? Nahhh, just numbers to spoof so it looks good for shareholder's, congrats PepsiCo, greed wins again.

I'm not fooled ; I just don't eat that greasy salty crud.

First it was Family Size reduced to Party Size, now they have made Party Size even smaller, I'm PISSED

Guest

Just went to store and saw lays reduce d bag size now To under 8 oz. to 7.75 oz and they same price.

Have been seeing bag reductions consistently over the past 2 years from 12oz down to this. Lost a customer quite a while back.

I also have noticed the shrinking package sizes. Mine are now 9 and 3/4 ounces charging $4.29 I`m not buying them at that price. I contacted them about it and they sent me a coupon for $1.00 and another for $.55 What a deal.

I have not bought a frito lay product for a few years, that is the only way it will matter to this corporation. They need to realize, they can only shrink the size of products so far, then what? BOYCOTT!

Guest

Doritos are now thinner. I guess there wanting to loss customers

yes ... thinner and not as good as a result

Guest

Actually the Doritos Jacked I just bought was only 9 1/4 ounce.

I could not agree more ! If it costs more to make the chip [doubtful] then charge us accordingly, don't screw us.

This seems to be the new universal food company method, over charge and under deliver.

I stopped buying Doritos when the bag dropped from 16oz. This is like the Big Mac , that is neither big, nor is it any good.

Over the course of about 15 years, we've been hit with an 82% price increase on Doritos. The standard bag once came in at 15 ounces and cost $2.99.

Each time they do any type of bag or logo redesign, the size shrinks (every company does this now). First it went down to 13 oz. Price stayed the same. The next redesign saw the bag shrink to 11.75 oz., with the price increasing to $3.99.

When they did the next design (with the current logo) it shrunk to 11 oz. Price increased to the current $4.29. The most recent change saw the size shrink quickly from 11 oz to 10.5 oz to the current 9.75 oz in less than 2 years. Still $4.29.

(The so-called "family size" is now the same weight the regular size bag used to be). So, combine an actual 48% price increase (from $2.99 to $4.29) with a 34% decrease in product (from 15oz to 9.75 oz) and you get a whopping 82% price increase overall. And Frito-Lay thinks we're too stupid to notice.

This trend of trying to hide price increases by shrinking the product started with coffee & ice cream (remember when it came in half gallon cartons) and has spread to EVERY conceivable product on the shelves. Just remember, if you suddenly see a product with a spanking new design, check the weight/quantity, it's guaranteed to be less....for the same price, of course.

Guest

If a 9.5 oz bag is "family size", then I don't even want to know how small the normal sized bags are!

Guest

IM GOING TO CONTACT THOSE BASTARDS! BY GOD!....THEY KEEP RAISING THE PRICE AND GIVING YOU LESS! WE ALL NEED TO START CALLING THEM *** ABOUT IT, SPREAD THE WORD.

Guest

They started out 14 3/4 ounces and every year they make the bag smaller. The bag is now down again to 9 3/4 ounces. I will look for a different snack too.

Guest

Now the bags are down to 9oz!
